Equestrian Woods Neighborhood
Your Volunteer Board
Equestrian Woods Maintenance Association is managed by a volunteer board.

Board President
Mike and his wife have lived in Equestrian Woods for 28 years. Mike retired in 2019 after 46 years as an electrical engineer for Schneider Electric (Square D) where he spent over 30 years training employees, contractors and distributors on the application and selection of electrical distribution equipment.

Treasurer
Ryan Martin is relatively new to our neighborhood, having moved his family to Equestrian Woods in 2021. We liked him so much we put him in charge of the money...and he is doing a great job!

Horse Committee Chair
Andy Smith is committed to recruiting new boarders as well as making sure existing boarders are happy by making sure the barns and paddocks are well-maintained.

Member at-Large
Shelley Ferrell

Secretary
Whitley C. Casey it our secretary and keeper of records. Whitley and his family have their home in the heart of Equestrian Woods.

Vice President - Grounds Chair
Anita Rudy organizes the annual Spring Garage Sale and the Fall Festival. As an all-around assistant to the Board she is involved with a great team of advisers in the upkeep of the trail fences, stone entrances and community trees.
As a daily walker of dogs on our trails she gladly takes care of lost dog alerts and helps return Hairy Houdini dogs to their owners.
She is our fearless leader of grounds and is assisted by a great committee of advisers and helpers.

Communications - Newsletter - Directory
Becky and her husband moved to EQ over twenty years ago. She retired the first time from LFUCG Department of Social Services. Since that time, she taught criminal justice classes at LCC/BCTC, EKU and consulted on “Best Practices” nationally. She currently serves on several boards on the local and district level. She enjoys staying busy, with hobbies and volunteer work. She is our newsletter editor and contributes to our Board and neighborhood in a variety of positive ways.

Fence Chair - Non Board Member
Jay Johnson manages the maintenance and upkeep of the fences of the common spaces in Equestrian Woods. Our community is currently undergoing a multi-year investment to repair and replace portions of the 5 miles of fences that bound our equestrian walking trails. Having served as past president, Jay brings his business knowledge and skills to contracting for these services to the Association.
